Luck of the draw....some years there's hardly any. A bit of rain and it's gone again.

This year we seem to be headed for a cold one so there's likely to be snow on Snowdon in a few weeks or maybe even next week for a few days.

January and Febuary are the favoured months for snow cover on the hills in GB.

Here's a webcam...see if there's snow around and get over there if you're close enough.

Check the rest of the site too...it's the mountain weather information service .

Another camera below it, nice one.

At night the camera shots are black.....click on the camera window anyway for some info...it shows you the area and where the weather station is.

Take some dark sunglasses or snow goggles. If the Sun comes out it can get a bit bright over snow. Best tan ever though, far better than a beach tan.

Try the skiing bikini girls in Austria....

Not this way though....ooops

Snowdon (Welsh: Yr Wyddfa, pronounced [əɾ ˈwɪðva]) is the highest mountain in Wales. It has been described as "probably the busiest mountain in Britain."[1] It is located in Snowdonia National Park (Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri) in Gwynedd. The summit is known as Yr Wyddfa ("the tumulus"[2]) and lies at an altitude of 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level. As the highest peak in Wales, Snowdon is one of three mountains climbed as part of the National Three Peaks Challenge.

The English name "Snowdon" comes from the Old English Snow Dun, meaning "snow hill" as Snowdon can offer significant falls of snow each winter from October to April, but in the past, rare fresh late-seasonal snow has been reported to fall on Snowdon, well into the months of May and June. Although the amount of snow on Snowdon in winter has varied significantly recently, 55% less snow had fallen in 2004 than in 1994.[3]
